drop football head passes pick
When they'd drop passes I'd say something to them right away and then tell them it's over with, pick your head up, we've got more football to play.
aware food fruit good later light lunch noon regulate talking
The more you put in your body, the more you have to regulate it with insulin. So later kickoffs, you're talking about breakfast, lunch and a pregame meal, so that's more food you've got to be aware of and what you put in your body. A noon game, light breakfast, a little fruit and some insulin, and I'm good to go.
attention thankful
There's a little attention and stress, but we're here to do our testing, and we've just got to go out and do it. I'm just thankful to be here right now.
definitely dream obviously past success
This is obviously a dream come true. It's a lot of work, and we had a lot of success at Vanderbilt we hadn't had in the past that definitely helped.
ball coming deal flow forget people shaky
Coming out I was a little shaky and a little nervous. The ball was a little hard, but I got into the flow of things and started to feel more comfortable. I started to forget about all the people on the sidelines. But that's what comes with being a quarterback. You have to deal with the pressure.
confidence hard last paying prepared stuck time week year
I think there was a time last year and the year before when we were down in the cellar. We didn't have a lot of confidence in this team, this system, but we stuck it out and we prepared each week as hard as the week before, ... It's paying off now.
calculated chances football
I take chances (on the football field) but I think they're calculated chances. I know what I'm doing.
best hard losses might moved talked three time took tough turned
I think it was pretty close, ... Especially with the end of the season, we had been through some tough losses down the stretch. It was hard to take three years of losing, especially when you aren't used to it. I thought it might be best if I moved on. I took my time and talked to a lot of people, and it's turned out well for me.
fired guys last lost past replaced
We lost some guys last year, but we have replaced them with guys that are fired up about playing. That is something we haven't had in the past at Vanderbilt.
best
Overall, I thought we may have had the best players.
definitely helped nashville people stay together wants
Part of me definitely wants to go because it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The other part of me wants to stay in Nashville and get together with some people who helped me get to this point.
ball change coaster fourth last leading listen older putting quarter ride roller state
If it comes down to me leading them in the fourth quarter and putting the ball in my hands, I'll take my chances. I'm an older guy, and we have a lot of new guys. Hopefully, they will listen to me so we won't be on the roller coaster ride that we were on last year. We have to change our state of mind.
fired knew rest save
He was fired up for this game. He knew that we were going to use him a lot so we could save Erik and Marlon for the rest of the season.
happy looking met ran teams threw
I met with pretty much all the teams that are probably looking to take a quarterback, and some that weren't looking to take a quarterback. I ran well. I threw well. But I was happy to get out of there.
