We're still hoping. The Kings have got the playoff spot we want. We know we've pretty much got to run the table from here on out.
We know if we are beat, somebody's going to be back there. In the past, it wasn't like that. If you pressured up on somebody and you got beat, you were getting dunked on. This year, we're helping each other out.
It felt good to finally get up and get the dunk in. That's the most I've done since I got injured. I hope I don't feel it tomorrow.
I was always getting the short end of the stick.
It is do or die. The season is coming to an end. We still have an opportunity. It has to be a big trip for us.
Our guard play is a big key. It's huge, especially when you're on the road.
I think we're too focused on the stars. When you focus on the stars, role players get off. Guys that usually don't have big nights are getting 20, 25 points. Once they get their points, the starters come in and kick our butts.
We've got a lot of winnable games coming up, but teams aren't going to come in and bow down to us. The season is coming to an end, we still have an opportunity. It has to be a big trip for us.
We play good defensively for 14 seconds, and that other 10 seconds, we slip. The shot clock comes down, we don't get a rebound or we don't get help. Just little things we're not doing that we need to get back to if we want to be a good team and we want to win games.
When are you going to buy us a suit? ... You've got nine years in the league, that's a vet move.
We're learning how to play when the other team knows you're good. You have to find ways to win games. It's all part of the process, but we have to find ways. That's part of the adjustment when you become a good team.
We just didn't execute our game plan. We had a game plan to slow Pau down and we did a good job on him, but they had other guys come up big.
We didn't execute our game plan. They had other guys scoring big numbers. Eddie Jones scored big. Shane Battier scored big. Bobby Jackson came in and had a big night.
We're not taking care of the lead. We have to be a lot smarter with the ball. When you have a team down by 10 or 15 points, have them on the ropes, you have to put them away.
