The slope was bad (in the second run). When I came to the first gate I was scared, but then I just tried to concentrate and the rest of the race went well. The result was good, but my health is getting worse every day.

It's kind of stupid what they did because it was obvious we couldn't ski downhill in the morning and they needed one racer to crash. It was not enough that two of the forerunners crashed.

I was skeptical about my first race; I didn't have a very good preparation. It's a huge surprise. My shape wasn't so good because I was injured most of summer.

I was really surprised...but this is one of the nicest slopes for slalom and it seems the more difficult the conditions the better I do.

I did not expect to win the globe today. I achieved my goal of winning in all five events and then an Olympic gold medal. This really is my best season ever.
