cars good guys hurt race tracks worked
We're really good at mile-and-a-half race tracks right now, ... The guys have got the cars worked out so that they don't hurt the tires.
cheering face finding parts rest running work
On the face of it, I'm cheering for them for going out and finding something with the same parts the rest of us are running and making it work better, which they did,
cup front hope justify name nascar operated order owners problems program series teams truck work
They operated their truck teams as one program and made the team owners just name owners only in order to justify what they were doing. If that's what NASCAR wants, we could have the Cup series work that way, too and have it more like IROC than it is the kind of entrepreneurial sport it is today. But I don't think that's where it will go. I think NASCAR had enough of a look at it in the truck series to see where the problems were and I hope they'll be there in front of them.
driver worked
is as cold-blooded as any driver I've ever worked with.

hand needed raised table time work
He never raised his hand and said there wasn't on the table the things he need to do his business. He just needed the time for it to work out.
coming crippling everybody landing looking months point possible soft transition work
The idea is to have a transition that's a soft of a landing a possible ... We're not looking to penalize him for anything he has in place. But there has to be at some point a transition to get him where everybody else has to be. We will work in the coming months and years get him to that without crippling his organization.
best both found increase parts pieces slept took
I slept on it for 24 hours, ... and it made a lot of sense, so I agreed. Both of us then put our best pieces on the table, and we both found surprises. We took parts from both our engines, and we were able to increase our horsepower.
came chances crew guys lose might peaked races soon telling three turned written
I've been telling the guys that we hadn't peaked yet and if it came soon enough we might have a chance. I'd all but written off our chances to get in (the Chase) three races ago, but Robbie (Reiser, crew chief) and the guys didn't lose the faith. We've got it turned around now.
behind maybe nascar scenes trying ways win
The (WWE) has its ways of determining who is going to win and maybe NASCAR behind the scenes is trying to do the same thing. I take it personally. I do take it personally.
anybody chrysler extent general healthy investment involved series toyota willing wind
Right now we have a healthy series with Ford, Chrysler and General Motors involved. And it can be healthy with Toyota involved as well, as long as we don't wind up discouraging or rendering uncompetitive anybody else to the extent they will not be willing to make their investment for what they get.
ability bob both brown certainly crew doubt engineers proven talented win
Bob Osborne and Wally Brown are both very talented engineers and crew chiefs. Bob has certainly proven his ability to win and I have no doubt that Wally will do the same.
five four guy picking rather scenarios singled teams viable worst
The thing they did by picking on five rather than four is they singled me out. I'm the only guy with five viable teams and the worst of all scenarios (for NASCAR) is we put all five of them in the Chase,
building great harvest next though toward year
The thing I'm doing is building toward next year and the years that will follow. We've had a great run, even though this may not be a year of harvest for that.
