horse owe today win
I thought we had to win today and win decisively to go to the Breeders' Cup, ... If the horse is doing well, I think we owe it to him to give him the chance. I'd say it's 75-25 that we would go, and the only way we wouldn't go is if the horse wasn't doing well.
favor shipping work
I think we'll be able to work things out, ... Right now, I'd say we're 75-25 in favor of shipping Saturday.
good guys horse race runs somebody sunday talking win
I want to win this race really badly. You don't want to set yourself up for a big letdown. You do your work, and the horse runs as good as he can. If it's good enough, it's good enough. If it's not, you guys will be talking to somebody else Sunday morning.
race win
I want to win this race really badly,
benefit bothered foes stuff
I think it is to his benefit. He handles stuff like that really well. It probably bothered our foes more than it did him.
front kick legs looking orange russell seeing seems speed sure three
It always seems like there is other speed in the race, but when they kick it, he's always in front. I sure like seeing those orange silks there (on the lead) and when Russell is looking between his legs when he's three in front -- that's an even better feeling. He (Lost in the Fog) makes it look so easy.
eating
He's eating well and breezed well over the track,
amazing eric man respect
He has the amazing respect of at least one man (morning line-maker Eric Donovan).
across country horse kinds people realize shipped six special takes
People need to realize we've shipped across country six times now, ... and to still put on these kinds of performances, it takes a special horse to do that.
attribute best horse horses quarter run second tries wear
If any horse tries to go with him, he'll wear them into the ground. His best attribute is his second quarter. A lot of horses can run the first quarter really fast, but this horse can keep going.
again came days few harry home horse race ship talk
If a race came up at home, that would be fine, ... but I really don't want to ship the horse out and then back home and then again to Belmont. Harry and I will talk about what to do a few days after the horse is home.
expected head move pace run shows struggled tired win
I expected him to run 1:09 and change, but I didn't expect to win by a head and a neck. He didn't go down in my mind, but he didn't move up either. I don't think we can take anything from this race. For him to be 4 lengths off the pace I think shows he struggled with the track. He was tired in the winner's circle.
faces horses ought tough
That Barber, you ought to give him a medal. He faces tough horses and never quits.
drag run
Nah, I don't think so, ... I wouldn't drag him over here if I didn't think he'd run good!
