basketball coming enjoying game good hard people playing together
Playing a basketball game and just enjoying it. That's really what it's all about, people coming together and working hard for a good cause.
good needed team
We needed to get out of Syracuse. We need to be road-tested. You get a good idea of where your team is at when you play on the road.
emotional expect four goodbye great today
Today was overwhelming. I can't put it into words. I didn't expect it to be as emotional as it was. It was an overwhelming experience. I've had four great years. To say goodbye is difficult.
bottom good hopefully last line mentality noise seed seeds
The bottom line is, you have to win. You have to go down there with the same mentality as if you were a No. 1 seed or a No. 16 seed. We've had good seeds in the past. We had a good seed last year, and look where it got us. We have to go down there with the mentality that we still have a lot to prove. We still think we can hopefully make some noise in this tournament.
beat conference early giving good knew problems struggling teams tough
It's tough to concentrate on other teams when they're not in your conference and you are struggling in your own conference. We were having problems in our conference early on. When they beat Texas, we knew they were a good team. We are giving them their respect.
ball good offensive takes threw together tough
It's tough to come together defensively right away. That takes work. We threw the ball away too many times. But if you have good offensive players, you can get by.
coming dream home local opportunity players rarely special
This was really something special for me getting the opportunity to come back and play before the local fans. Coming home is something most players dream about, but rarely get to experience.
felt shoot shooting shot took
Every shot I took felt great. I didn't shoot well from the floor, but I got to the free-throw line. If I'm not shooting well, that's what I have to do.
career freshman great lucky run team worried year
My freshman year I was fortunate, I was lucky to be part of a great team like that and make a run at the right time. I'm not worried about what I did in the past. When I look back and my career is over, that's fine.
shot tried
I was surprised. I thought they'd foul, and they didn't. I just tried to get a shot up there on the glass, and I put it up just right and it went down.
best change needed shot
I said yesterday's shot was the best under the circumstances. I'd have to change that to today's. We needed it.
great happen matter morning question saw time tomorrow tough
It didn't matter how I was feeling. There was no question what was going to happen because I saw the scoreboard. It was time to play ... I feel great now. Tomorrow morning is the tough thing.
great
I feel great. Fantastic. It's a great feeling. We lost, and it was probably because of me.
game great last
I feel great about it. My last game that we lost, probably because of me.
