Well, we won it, so I guess I was pretty motivated. I think we all were. This is the toughest year I've played, and for these guys to battle and to come down here and fight and to do this is...it's one of the greatest.

We came out ready to play; it was kind of early so we knew that we had to get ourselves going. Fortunately, we made some shots early, put the pressure on them and got out to an early lead.

I was surprised. I thought they'd foul, and they didn't. I just tried to get a shot up there on the glass, and I put it up just right and it went down.

My freshman year I was fortunate, I was lucky to be part of a great team like that and make a run at the right time. I'm not worried about what I did in the past. When I look back and my career is over, that's fine.

This was really something special for me getting the opportunity to come back and play before the local fans. Coming home is something most players dream about, but rarely get to experience.
beat conference early giving good knew problems struggling teams tough
It's tough to concentrate on other teams when they're not in your conference and you are struggling in your own conference. We were having problems in our conference early on. When they beat Texas, we knew they were a good team. We are giving them their respect.
