hitting special truly
He's truly a very remarkable, special athlete. He's an outstanding hitting prospect.
injuries
We have a lot of depth. We can withstand some injuries and not be devastated.
miserable tone
We set a miserable tone from the start.
bunt good great needed runs second tyler
We did some good things today. Tyler Weber got a great bunt down in the second inning. We did what we needed to do, and we got the runs home. That was huge.
good offensive progress quit wasting
We're a pretty good offensive team. We just have to quit wasting a lot of at-bats. Every day there's progress. We're making progress like the turtle, but at least we're going in the right direction.
amazing miserable offensive pitchers proud runs sixth tone within
Our pitchers set a miserable tone from the outset. We got burned. The amazing thing is we were within two runs of being run-ruled in the sixth inning. I'm really proud of our offensive team. It didn't quit, it didn't give up.
gotten looked starting time
He's gotten better every time out, and that's really a plus. Today, he was starting to feel comfortable (and) he looked comfortable.
everybody excited fastball good hit knew
He hit that fastball about as good as you can hit it. When he hit it, I knew it was gone. I don't know if everybody else did, but I knew. It excited me.
add bat played swinging third
He has played very well defensively at third base. He's swinging the bat well. He can add some punch.
account gives goes good himself performance proud time
He gives a good account of himself every time he goes out there. I was proud of his performance today.
absolutely except perfect rob
Rob was perfect the whole day except for one inning. Absolutely perfect.
enjoy game good reason trying
For some reason, we're not getting through to the players. And I know they're trying; they're trying hard. You've just got to come and play the game to enjoy and have a good time. They're not.
gave runs
I was very disappointed with Kris Johnson's (outing). I think he was a little shell-shocked when he gave runs because he pitched well in our intra-squad games.
ahead ball breaking count threw
He was ahead in the count most of the time, and he commanded his breaking ball down. I thought he threw with confidence.
