Gene Stephenson is an American college baseball coach, who served as the head baseball coach at Wichita State from the start of the 1978 season until June 2013, after that year's season was complete. As of the end of the 2012 season, he had compiled a 1798-647-3record. He has the second most wins among active coaches, and ranks second all time in career victories. We did some good things today. Tyler Weber got a great bunt down in the second inning. We did what we needed to do, and we got the runs home. That was huge.

I've always felt WSU was the premier university in the Missouri Valley Conference. We have the best community. We have the best overall facilities. We should be ranked, in all sports, at the top of our league.

I was very disappointed with Kris Johnson's (outing). I think he was a little shell-shocked when he gave runs because he pitched well in our intra-squad games.
