best gotta scary seen three time walks
You gotta understand, I've been with him for three years and I've seen a lot of things go down. The thing I do know is he's getting better and better each time he walks on the floor. And I don't know if we've seen the best of him yet. That's the scary part of this whole thing.
credit game hard missing played point three trying
There's nothing to say. We played a game where we were down three starters. I give Quincy credit for trying to fight, but when you're missing your third- and fourth-leading scorers, it's hard to play like that. There was a point where we had three walk-ons on the court. It just makes it hard.
east goal guys knows step tough
Yeah, it's going to be tough and Quincy knows that but some other guys need to step up. Our goal is to still make the Big East tournament, so we're going to need some other guys to take us there.
chance felt game last team
That was paramount. We had talked, going into the first half, that this team was on (its) last legs. They felt there was one game that they (had a chance to win) and it was our game. I told our team to go out and take them (Bulls' legs) away. Once you do that, they'll feel like there's nothing else left. I think that's what happened.
backward road step supposed took
That was one we let get away, definitely. We took a step backward because this is one we were supposed to have so now we're going to have to go on the road and take one away.
ballgame chance game locker lost played syracuse telling tired win
Like I told them in the locker room, I'm getting tired of telling them that. We lost our game at Syracuse where we played hard, were right there with a chance to win, and we didn't win it. We need to find a way to get over that hump. And that's the whole ballgame right there.
feeling force hoping players rated
I think our players will do that naturally. I don't think it's something I have to force on them. They don't want to be rated No. 14. I'm hoping they have this chip, but I have a feeling they're going to be overlooked.
ability both defend help needed rebound
I think he has the ability to defend in there and rebound the basketball. Both will be needed to help this team.
ability basket dribble score shut situations tough
We put him situations to score off screens. But he also has the ability now to dribble penetrate and do other things, go to the basket or give it up. If he does both, that's tough to shut down.
days games keeps reason three
It hasn't progressed and the reason why is he keeps getting it hit. And when you get it hit, you need at least two to three days rest. The most we can give him is one because we play so many games back-to-back.
goes good great job team
I thought Marquis Webb did a great job on Clayton. As Clayton goes the team goes, and I think we did a good job on him.
five games hearts played ran three
I think they ran out of gas. We've played three games in five days. I thought they played their hearts out, especially in the first half.
accomplish action basketball best coaching course enjoyed family five move opportunity past program team time tremendous work
I have enjoyed coaching the Rutgers basketball team for the past five seasons, and have had the opportunity to work with some tremendous young men. But at this time, I feel that this is the best course of action for me to take for the Rutgers basketball program and for my family. I feel we were able to accomplish a lot here, but it is time for me and my family to move forward.
goes guard hard obviously work
Obviously Quincy went to work today. And when he goes to work, it's hard to guard him.
