against defensive fast intensity points problem
We scored 80 points against Mashpee. Our problem has been defensive intensity and getting back on the fast break, which we were working on today.
ball best blessed brought chemistry defensive fast good intensity lose surprised tight whether
I was surprised by their defensive intensity and how fast they brought the ball up. But this was one of our best seasons. I'm blessed to have such a good team. These young ladies, win, lose or draw, are friends. The chemistry is unbelievable. Whether they play or not, they're the same. We're a tight group.
balance bench coming involved level pleased program schedule strong tough
I'm really pleased that we have real strong balance in our program right now. What we're working on right now is maintaining the level of play and getting our bench more involved because we really have a tough schedule coming up.
basketball chemistry girls goodbye group hardest kids players provided remember saying season tonight
I'm going to remember this season by the chemistry these girls provided every day at practice. The hardest thing about the season is saying goodbye tonight to a group of kids who were not just basketball players but were friends.
I'm very pleased. That was one of our goals. I think we'll be very competitive in the tournament. We have a well-rounded team.
amanda basket drives good job looks second
They did a good job of making adjustments in the second half. They doubled Amanda and prevented her from getting any good looks at the basket or making any drives to the basket.
defense dictated drive game good happened inside interior neither opened pace running shooting stop team
They went to a diamond-and-one defense to stop Amanda, but it opened up our inside game and she was able to drive or set up our interior people. We dictated the pace of this game. They are a running team and good 3-point shooting team, and neither thing happened for them tonight.
actuality gone low man outside people pressure tried zone
We tried to double-team their big people down low in a zone when in actuality we should have put more pressure on the outside and gone man-to-man earlier. But we didn't think we could go man because they were so big.
confidence playing team today
This team is playing with a lot of confidence right now. The lineup we have is very opportunistic, and today they showed their 'no quit' attitude.
credit dug game half hole ourselves problems stepped
We've had problems in the first half before and we dug ourselves a hole we couldn't get out of. We battled back and didn't go easily, but give credit to Marian. They really stepped up their game tonight. They weren't like they were the other night.
best difficult division game hard luxury mediocre optimistic played playing
We were optimistic going in, but it's very difficult as a Division 4 team. We don't have the luxury of playing mediocre teams. Each game we play, we have to come out with our best stuff. But I think we played them hard and at times played well.
balanced looking
That's what we're looking for is balanced scoring. If we can get balanced scoring, we're going to be successful.
bit business draw garden goal good heart highly last night oracle people phenomenal sacred season team tough
This is a phenomenal team. They're very highly motivated. They're all business in practice. We do so many things so well. We got a tough draw (in 12-8 Sacred Heart last night before the Harwich Oracle went to press) but we've got them at home. It's been our goal all season to go back to the Garden (Fleet Center). This team is every bit as good as I thought it would be. It's as good as the championship years and we have more people who can score.
amanda anyone drive free inside pick points proving shut throw unbalanced
She dominated. She killed us from inside and from the free throw line. We couldn't drive the ball, and the one thing that kills us is when get unbalanced in our scoring. Amanda was proving us with a lot of points in the first half, but when they shut her down in the second, we didn't have anyone there to pick up the slack.
