We just gotta take baby steps. Hopefully we'll be playing in the NCAA next year.
bring energy heart killer planned playing sacred sustain tough
We have to sustain our own energy and bring that killer instinct. We planned for Sacred Heart one day after playing Louisville. I'm not making any excuses, but that's a tough deal.
assistant hard harris head kids knew last league playing terms win year
Last year was our first year in the league and my first year in the league as a head coach. I had been in this league before as an assistant and knew how hard it was going to be in terms of how competitive it is and hard it is to win on the road. I think our kids are better at it after going through it one time. We're more experienced and now that we have Anthony Harris back, I think we're playing better basketball.
good great playing win
Obviously, it's a great win for us. I just think we're playing with good poise, good patience.
everybody excited host playing
Everybody is excited that we get to keep playing and will host our first-ever NIT game.
against air bad consistent count games handful kid list north played playing sit tells together top virginia
It's funny, I can sit here and tell you the handful of games he didn't play well, and that tells you he's been consistent because we count on him playing well all the time. He's played bad against Air Force, Virginia and North Carolina. When you can put together a list off the top of your head, you know a kid has been steady.
guys playing realize tournament
We're playing better. When you're in a tournament like this, the more you win, the more guys realize they're playing for something.
obviously playing totally tournament understand win
We're not totally out of it. Obviously we need to win (today) and we need to go into the (ACC) tournament and win one and, maybe, two games. As much as (FSU is) playing for something, we have to understand we're playing for something, too.
bit playing separate teams themselves
You're playing to be one of those teams that doesn't play on that first day. Right now, everybody's so jumbled up, somebody's got to separate a little bit here to get themselves in position.
changing good inside job playing
I thought we did a good job changing defenses and playing well inside as well as on the perimeter.
consistent flow player playing stuff taken tremendous
He's playing at an unbelievable level. He's taken a lot of stuff about not playing big in big games, but he's our most consistent player this season. He's in a tremendous flow right now.
cut fact oklahoma physical playing tough work
The fact that we're playing Oklahoma State, that's got our attention. They are a tough team. Very talented, very physical team. We're going to have our work cut out for us.
ball beat best effort game heck herb high league played playing second shot state team
I didn't think we played that poorly, I just think State played really well. They shot the ball tremendously that day and they were playing at a high level. I told Herb after the game that he had a heck of a team. I think they are the second best team in the league right now. It will take a yeoman's effort for us to beat them.
gone hard harris kids knew playing terms time win
I knew how hard it was going to be in terms of how competitive it is and how hard it is to win on the road. Our kids have gone through it one time and are better at it. No question. We're more experienced and have (injured) Anthony Harris back and are playing better basketball.
