achieve against compete crowd easy finish goal good lindsay means meant player players playing stay support true york
That means a lot to me. She's the No. 1 player in the world. It makes me feel that I can compete against such good players and I can achieve my goal to be No. 1 one day. Playing against Lindsay here in New York with the crowd support for her...it wasn't an easy match. I think that I could stay true and finish that well, it really meant a lot to me.
early fast felt match means move nervous pressure wake
To play at 10 o'clock, that means you have to wake up at 6 and when you go for your warm-up you don't feel fast enough because it's early in the morning, ... I wasn't nervous about it, but during the match I felt that I didn't move that well and she just put a lot of pressure on me.
beat exciting good martina mean player playing possible
Martina is a good player and it's exciting to see her back. But that doesn't mean I won't be playing and I'll do everything possible to beat her.
difficult
I know this girl. I think she has a difficult situation.
gives great last match ready until
I know she's a great fighter, she never gives you the match until the last point, ... I was ready to play a long match, and that's how it was.
decided event glad knew los trying
I'm just so happy. I was just trying to get Los Angeles, and I knew I just had to get that one win, ... I decided to come to this event because I didn't want to have any regrets, and I'm glad I made that decision. Now, I'm going to Los Angeles.

It's really a great start to the year no matter whether it's an exhibition or not. I was trying to play my best and I really did it.

I have never seen her playing that well.
certain good help helped longer mental needed parts technical time together
I needed a change, ... There were mental and technical things that she could no longer help me with. We had a very good time together and she really helped with certain parts of my game, but it was finished.
confidence game good happy hope played rest solid today
I'm happy to have played such a good game in the final. I played very solid today and I hope this will give me confidence for the rest of the season.
against almost both challenge close decide emotional feels great match matches point three winning
It was a close match and very emotional for both of us. I have had so many matches winning 7-6 in the third, so I know how it feels to be that close and when one point can decide the whole match that we play for almost three hours. It's a great challenge for me to play against someone who is younger, who has nothing to lose, who is from Russia.
fair taking
Taking the 12-minute timeout, I don't think was fair play, ... But she could do it by the rules.
