I would assume it would be pretty soon, obviously, because they probably want to get it done as soon as possible. With free agency coming up in March, the franchise-tag deadline in late February, I'm sure that that's something that's probably a big priority.
Mini-camp would be five months, so by that point I should be full speed. I'm going to do everything that I can to get back as soon as possible. The real date that is most important is early September. I need to make sure I'm good to go by then.
This whole thing with San Diego, when I went into the off-season, I thought for sure I'd still end up with the Chargers. I think that was a shocker for everybody, including myself. Even up to recently, I thought something was going to happen.
some rowdy fans. I'm sure there's going to be all kinds of expletives yelled at him, at their team.
In my mind, I feel like I'm going to come back better than ever. I wouldn't even call it a setback. I think it's an opportunity for me to just get going a little bit earlier than expected and rehabbing and working out and making sure that when I come back I'm better than I was when I went in.
I'm sure there's a sigh of relief from the Dolphins, because if there was a team that could (go unbeaten), I'm sure it was these Colts. They're a heck of a football team, and they have a lot to be proud of. Hopefully we'll see them again down the road, sooner than later.
took a moment to kind of just stare at the sky and think about the past seven months.
We talked about it all week, how this could be the game that we throw it 50 times, and I think we almost did,
We went into a couple of sports equipment stores and asked if they had heard of Darren Bennett, ... They all said he's great; he made it to America.
We felt our defense had done its part, and it was time for us to do ours and put the game away.
It was tough to know that was the end of our chances to make it into the playoffs. To come home and get to spend time with family, I think that got everyone's mind off it a short period of time and allowed everyone to take a deep breath and see what can we accomplish this last game.
The whole team has tried to do too much. That's what happens sometimes when you have success. You feel like you just need to do better than better. At times, better is good enough to win. I think you can try too hard.
Sometimes you get in those situations, you try to do too much, try to say, 'I'm the guy who has to make every play and it's my responsibility to do everything,' which it's not,
Everybody was yelling 'we love you Flutie,' and 'you should be the starter.' They're yelling everything, ... They love the guy there. They were yelling stuff at him about when he was the starter back in the '80s, saying 'they never should have let you go.'
