character courage good match played point run though
Even though we got down a little bit, we still made a little run to come back. We played a pretty good first half. We showed a lot of character and courage in the first half, being able to match them point for point.
against brutal carolina errors fairly forward game home hurt maryland north overtime played proud steps took
It was a very brutal stretch. However, we took some steps forward in this stretch. We played Maryland at home to an overtime game and played North Carolina fairly close. We were able to make some big strides, and we weren't overmatched against North Carolina, we just made some errors that really hurt us. I was very proud of our effort.
behind game great holding onto played taking today
We played a lot from behind in games. We haven't been all that great at taking the lead, and holding onto it. So, today was a great game for us.
ball bench energy gave great half played strong
I thought Denesha had a great first half. She played a very strong first half and really gave us some energy off the bench and was able to put the ball in the basket.
ability court difficult game high last level minutes people played separates seven stay
What makes them No. 1 and separates them from us right now is their ability to play 40 minutes and to put 11 people on the court that can stay at a very high level at all times, which makes it difficult for seven people who just played a game last night.
came played poise proud
I was very proud of our play, especially down the stretch. I thought we played with poise and maturity, and the things we've been working on really came to the forefront.
extremely good job keeping knew played plays run shots tendencies tried
We rebounded well and played their tendencies extremely well. They really could not get shots off because when they tried to run their plays we knew what they were going to do. I think we did a good job of keeping them in check.
staying worry
They have to worry about staying up with us too.
gonna hard
I'm gonna have to be hard on her in the beginning.
conference knew politics status teams
I'm disappointed to a point. I knew we were on the board, but I knew our status was tenuous because of our conference record. ... It was disappointing to see some of the other teams that got in that shouldn't have. There's a lot of conference politics in this.
rhythm team ugly
No team could get a rhythm out there. That's what made it an ugly game.
great herself major replace sets standards stepped tough
It will be different for us without Tiffany here and it will be tough to replace her. Tiffany has been the person that has stepped up in major situations. She sets great standards for herself and all those around her.
couple home lost
We lost a couple at home when we didn't play very well. That made the difference.
ball bit hole ourselves shoot start
We got ourselves in a little bit of a hole to start the game. We didn't shoot the ball very well, and we did some things that were uncharacteristic.
