best game ourselves physical pride
It was a physical game and we pride ourselves on being a physical team. But we let their physicality get the best of us.
basically coming doubt exactly floor game help improve job needed tonight tremendous
I wanted her to basically take a look at things from the floor to see defensively how she could improve upon her game and help our team. I thought she did a tremendous job tonight coming off the bench. I doubt it will be permanent. She did exactly what I needed her to do tonight.
came game post prepared respected time work
We were much better prepared for their post game than we were the first time. We respected their post game the first time, but they just drilled us. This time we had some time to work on it and we came with a much better game plan.
extremely game hard offensive run starting worked
She has worked extremely hard on her offensive game so I was starting to run things for her in the first half.
chance game gave plan players post sure
We gave her the chance to get some experience, but it wasn't the game plan at all. I had to make sure I had post players to end the game, because they're a very big team.
adjust game good normally physical team tonight
The physicality of the game is something that you have to adjust to. You have to adjust to those things and this team usually adjusts to that. They're pretty good with the physical part of the game, but tonight I didn't feel like we were as physical as we normally are.
against brutal carolina errors fairly forward game home hurt maryland north overtime played proud steps took
It was a very brutal stretch. However, we took some steps forward in this stretch. We played Maryland at home to an overtime game and played North Carolina fairly close. We were able to make some big strides, and we weren't overmatched against North Carolina, we just made some errors that really hurt us. I was very proud of our effort.
boost emphasis focused game huge stay win
It's a huge boost for us. You can't put too much emphasis on one game in the ACC. You have to stay focused and on an even keel, win or lose.
behind game great holding onto played taking today
We played a lot from behind in games. We haven't been all that great at taking the lead, and holding onto it. So, today was a great game for us.
easy game rest
There is not too much rest in the ACC. There is no easy game in the ACC.
ability court difficult game high last level minutes people played separates seven stay
What makes them No. 1 and separates them from us right now is their ability to play 40 minutes and to put 11 people on the court that can stay at a very high level at all times, which makes it difficult for seven people who just played a game last night.
couple home lost
We lost a couple at home when we didn't play very well. That made the difference.
ball bit hole ourselves shoot start
We got ourselves in a little bit of a hole to start the game. We didn't shoot the ball very well, and we did some things that were uncharacteristic.
There was a lot of fouls in the game. That kind of disrupts your rhythm.
