Debbie Ryan
Debbie Ryan is the former head coach for the women's basketball team at the University of Virginia. Ryan also coached the American women's basketball team at the 2003 Pan American Games. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2000 but is currently in remission. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. Ryan was also inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 2012...

I am glad to play at home in front of our fans. I would never be upset to play at home. I am glad to put this team in front of its fans. Our fans love this team, and I am sure they are going to prove that in the next couple of days. They love watching them, and they love being a part of them.

I have a lot of faith in this team, and I feel really strongly about this team. Even though we're really young, they're making strides and they're going in the right direction. They practice hard, and I know we're going to get better and better.

We gave her the chance to get some experience, but it wasn't the game plan at all. I had to make sure I had post players to end the game, because they're a very big team.

The physicality of the game is something that you have to adjust to. You have to adjust to those things and this team usually adjusts to that. They're pretty good with the physical part of the game, but tonight I didn't feel like we were as physical as we normally are.
best good leadership might past points wait
We'll have to wait and see just how good we are, where we're going to get our points from. I'd say it might be my most inexperienced group, (but) it's the best leadership we've had in the past 13 years.
