Everyone's stunned when they see me all done up in some kind of costume, but they never ask what i'm hiding...I'm not creating a person that I'm not. I'm just amplifying a part of me.
If there was a channel that showed nothing but hysteria and panic, it would be the highest-rated channel on TV. We like to think of creating music as a way to channel the panic into something tangible.
We like to think that we are stronger than our compulsions. But when time after time we can't break a habit we so badly want to eliminate, we begin to realize that maybe our will power and self control aren't as strong as we thought they were. Maybe we are just as weak as everybody else.
I think if there's a vacancy like that, hopefully it will make bands get more creative, and turn up, as they did in the old days, in empty warehouses and just impromptu showcases that are word-of-mouth and flyer-oriented. Hopefully it can be a good thing. But I'll miss that place.
We hope that even a thief has a heart.
The beautiful thing about CBGB is that I don't have a single memory from that place, ... But I think it was amazing.
I've always recorded the same way. I put down as many ideas as I have, then strip them away at the mixdown. It's better to have too much music than not enough.
And I've also come to the conclusion that, as far as guitar solos and things like that are concerned, it's more important to complement the music rather than take away from it.
For me, it doesn't matter how difficult something is, it doesn't matter how impressive it is, it's what sounds best that really counts.
Jane's Addiction has only put out new music when our hearts were in and when we had something to say creatively.
Men are much more agressive with their advances.
Yeah, I can read music and I know the names of chords.
As a viewer of television if there's something I don't like or find offensive, I just don't watch it.
Chad Michael Ward is a master of the storytelling craft. His imagery, both still and moving, reaches deep into the darkest corners of the mind, combining the macabre and the sensuous Revealing humanity's secret daydream atrocities. CMW taps into our most excitable of emotions with a blend of fear and human sexuality. Like an erotic car accident we can not look away from.
