fell finishing high last left people problems sets sure team win year
Finishing 1-2-3-4 last year was amazing. It was something people thought we couldn't do, and we weren't so sure we could do it. Things just fell our way as a team last year. I was disappointed not to win it because of the problems in our pit. We left Homestead on a high note. We really did. That sets us up for the whole season.
corner expect late next passing
It has a lot more to do with how you get off the corner and how late you can brake going into the next corner. I expect a lot of passing tomorrow.
caught hard
It caught me by surprise, because I've never had the back end come around like that there. It's going to make it a hard day (today).
asking battling figured good surprised
He's figured this out very, very quickly, asking a lot of good questions. I'll be surprised if he's not right up there battling (for the lead).
car drive exactly fine gave gets job matter tomorrow
We made some fine adjustments before qualifying and the car was really good. It was just a matter of me doing my job and not making any mistakes. They gave me a car that was exactly the way I wanted to drive it. Tomorrow is another day and that is when it gets difficult.
closer
I actually thought it was closer than that. It was close enough.
quick season strong
I think performance-wise we had a strong season and we were very quick in most of the races.
happy hard next push
I was not very happy with the way things were going, ... I've lightened up considerably, but I will push very hard for that championship next year.
happy
I was not very happy with the way things were going.
cannot continue
We just cannot continue to have these things happen.
paul shock
I'm still in shock about the whole thing. I didn't know Paul very well, but I've been through this before. I just feel for his family. It's such a tragedy.
direction four heading test
We're OK. But it's all about tomorrow. All four of us had different setups most of the weekend, but we're all heading in one direction for the race. The real test comes tomorrow.
car caution good happy lucky others
We were lucky with those caution flags, and I am happy with our finish. My car was well balanced, but not as good as the others were.
bring far mind nice percent win
He's never far from my mind at any time, but when I'm here especially. It was nice to win here today, but it will never bring him back; it will never make up for one percent of the loss.
