counts downs goal rest saves score ups
If they score a goal there, it's a different game. That's what you want from your goalie. They are going to have ups and downs just like the rest of the team, but you want them to make the saves when it counts and he did that tonight.
Right now we're struggling. We're not controlling the puck.
guys seen situations team though
We are the champions. We should feel comfortable going in that we've seen situations that some of their guys haven't, even though they are the better team this year. But I think we play better as the underdog, so if we are, it will be to our advantage.
confidence direction hopefully needed putting start step string wins
We needed some confidence here and hopefully this is a step in the right direction and let's start putting a string of wins together.
ahead beat catch early playing points seven start team thinking tough
I don't think (it's too early to start thinking about the standings). It's a team we've got to beat and they're seven points ahead of us now. If they're going to keep playing the way they are, it will be very tough to catch them.
canada history honor night ready team trying worrying
Obviously, (it would be) an honor to play for Team Canada. There's a lot of history there and I'd be ready to go. But it's out of my hands. I'm just trying to play well every night and not really worrying about it.
ask games guys hours job marty rest senators tired top
Let's be honest, you don't want to go down two games to the Senators and we just had to give it our all. We're pretty tired right now but we're going to have 48 hours to rest up. Our top guys did the job tonight. (Richards) had a big goal, Marty got a big goal, that's all you can ask from those guys.
chance ourselves
We were embarrassed at home, embarrassed for ourselves and embarrassed for the fans. Now we have a chance to feel better about ourselves.
ourselves proved situation sure
We let it get away for sure and we've been in that situation before. We proved to ourselves that we can play with them.
chance feels giving hard keeping ourselves playing sounds
It sounds simple, but we're just working hard. It feels like we're working hard and giving ourselves a chance and the goalies are playing really well and keeping us in the game.
asked confidence everybody room scale seven win
Confidence is a big factor. I think if you went around the room right now and asked everybody on a scale of one to 10, you are not going to find too many seven or eights. We have to find a way to win some games.
folks good months playoffs sleeping thankful three until
That's the good thing. My folks were down for three months up until playoffs started, so I can be thankful they weren't there and I wasn't there, sleeping at night. It could've been a lot worse.
ankle anyone far hockey knows walk
It's better than it was. I couldn't walk the first day, and now I'm out here skating. As far as when I'll be back, I don't know. Anyone who's had an ankle sprain knows it's pretty painful, especially for a hockey player.
against believe couple cup everybody good guys huge last monkey playoff point road seen stanley sudden sure tough win
Everybody was pretty sure we were done, there was probably no point in even going out. We really do believe in ourselves. A couple of years ago this was not a playoff team. We weren't even on the road map, then all of a sudden we are Stanley Cup champions. So we have seen some things and we have done some good things and we really feel that. We just need to get that monkey off our back with these guys. It's been tough against these guys in the last little while. That's a huge win for us.
