kids parent want
Like most parents, I want everything for my kids that I didn't have. But I don't intend to spoil them. I just enjoy everything that comes naturally with parenthood.
pride thinking play
I think you always take pride in how you play.
kids responsibility thinking
I think that when you are in the limelight it is part of your obligation to be a good role model. A lot of kids look up to you, and you are given a God-given talent, so it is your responsibility. It isn't hard to deal with. I never have to think twice about doing anything.
future help hockey preference signing stay sure
Signing one-year deals, you look at the future and you know what's going to happen. My preference is to stay here for sure . . . . If (a trade) is going to help the hockey club, that's what they have to do.

net played
We didn't have our sharpness tonight, and they played very well. They went to the net on the first two goals, and that's what we got to do to score.
close games good losing
We've been on the losing end of a lot of close one-goal games and fortunately tonight, we did a lot of good things.
home nice remember ride win
For us to win at the end of the year, it's a nice ride home and something to remember in the summer.
certainly people
If it's Edmonton, I certainly know some people there.
absolutely beating boost coming confidence count games gives people rally start team time win
If we play like this more often, I really like our postseason chances. Every time people start to count us out, we rally and show what kind of team we can be. This win in this building, two games after beating Dallas, absolutely gives us a confidence boost coming down the stretch.
bad brian exhibition felt game good time work
I felt bad for Brian because he's a good guy, but at the same time I got to work on my game more. I wasn't very good in those exhibition games, so it was good that I got those out of my system.
ankle felt fixed good hoping knew year
I knew I still wanted to play. I got my ankle fixed and that felt a lot better. I was hoping to have a good year and it's been really enjoyable.
ankle body expecting felt good knew knowing pleased
I knew my ankle felt good and I'm pleased with the way I performed. But knowing my body felt good I was expecting to play well.
