advantage games great hall job knowing last post says side struggled team today
We struggled on the rebounding side the last two games and I think for us to have the advantage today knowing that Seton Hall is a great rebounding team says a lot. I think our post players, especially Michelle, did a great job on the boards.
defending east game good home job looking lose motto year
My motto is, 'We don't lose on our home floor,' and I thought we did a good job of defending it. This is a new year now, and we're looking to take this game going into the Big East schedule.
box easier elevate game jump means might small
They elevate our game to another level. They're quicker, faster, they can jump higher. So that means you have to play smart. You might have to box them out so they can't jump over you. Or when you're elevating on your shot, you might have to elevate even more just because they can jump higher. The small things like that, they make the game easier for us.
game played team virginia west win won zone
There was no way I could win this game for us. They played a 2-3 zone and I can't do it by myself. It's a team game and West Virginia played as a team. We did not play as a team offensively or defensively. There was no way I could have won this game for us.
either game headed heading hurting kept taken temple
The Temple game unmasked us. It showed a lot. As a group, we were hurting after that and we could have taken it either way, kept going down or headed in the right direction. I think we're heading in the right direction.
team thinking games
It's hard [arriving just before the game], but it's more mental than anything. I think I prepared myself as I was coming over mentally, to not think about being fatigued or anything, just to be ready to help the team.
finding games guards inside job post question rebound variety
We just have to get better every day, there's no question about that. From the inside to the outside, the guards have to do a better job of finding the post and the posts have to rebound and finish. There are a variety of things that we have to do and that will only come with the more games that we play.
definitely focused signs stops
We actually focused on getting stops and rebounding. And we definitely did that. There are signs of us peaking, and I think it will come at the right time.
definitely focused stops
We actually focused on getting stops and on rebounding. And we definitely did that.
bring march
It doesn't matter. It's March Madness. You've got to bring it every time, every 40 minutes. That's all we have.
best classes tonight
I think tonight they showed they are one of the best classes in the country.
caused problems tough
I think the 3-2 match-up caused a lot of problems - it's tough to go against. That's something we've got to get better at as a team.
defense great hitting played
I think we rebounded and played great defense (during the run). Once we got away from that, they started getting comfortable, started hitting shots.
aggressive attack defense jump starts
We need to attack to be successful. We didn't do that, and they were aggressive. When you play aggressive on defense it jump starts the offense.
