daily discuss lying
Those are things we discuss on a daily basis. I'd be lying if I said there was not some concern.
almost discovered good hard hitter pitch pitchers plate trust walk
We've discovered the hard way there's no way to pitch to him. He's such a disciplined hitter at the plate and has such good plate coverage, it's almost like you can't even trust your pitchers to pitch around him. You've just got to intentionally walk him.
depth shakes wait
We have a lot of depth in our pitching, a lot of interesting possibilities. I can't wait to see how it all shakes out.
ready shower
We've got to shower it off and come out and be ready to go,
ball good pride
What we want to do is play good ball like we did tonight, ... There's some pride involved.
add help performance
Gutsy performance by Jake. We just couldn't add on here or there to help out.
missing similar
We had our chances. We're just missing the big hit. It was similar to the first game.
ball beating came changed haunt slow
We were slow getting over. Beating out that ball changed that inning that came back to haunt us.
feats greatest rookies sports
You know what, that's one of the greatest feats in all of sports, ... You know what, it's not that easy. Especially with all of those rookies they've played.
adam bat expect guy hope last limit played speed throwing year
I expect to see the same guy I did last year. I hope they'll limit him to 30 or 40 games. That first at-bat off Adam Eaton last year was very impressive. The guy hadn't played all year and Eaton was throwing 93-94 and he doubled off the wall. That bat speed is always there.
both defensive guy help power sides
Castilla is a guy who can help us on both sides of the ball. He'll give us some power and production, and he's an outstanding defensive player.
happy secret
But as long as we can keep him, I'd be happy to keep that secret to ourselves.
future
I wouldn't even want to think about where we'd be without him. And I don't want to ever think about what it'd be like in the future without him.
I would say he's out. Not 100 percent, but 99. I don't see Jake pitching.
