effort good mistakes overall
Overall I thought it was a pretty good effort by Chris. We made some mistakes at the back end.
best plays
Overall, that was one of the best plays I've ever seen.
bullpen difference
Our bullpen struggled. That was the difference in the game.
bad last pulled roberts time
Roberts said it wasn't as bad as the last time he pulled the quad,
great missed pitching scoring tonight
Pitching was great tonight - outstanding. We just had too many missed scoring opportunities.
baseball figure good objective playoffs
Our objective is to get to the playoffs and play good baseball. We'll figure that out once that happens.
carrying days depth gives pitchers playoff series short
If we are carrying only 11 pitchers, it gives us more depth and flexibility on the bench, ... You don't usually need more than 11 pitchers in a short playoff series with the days off.
ball jumping power swing
He's got unbelievable power -- plus/plus power. You can see it coming. He's getting his swing down. The ball was really jumping off his bat. Look out for Italy.
against arm ball both brought damage gives good guy job nice played plays reason shot sides
He was a real shot in the arm when we brought him up. He's done some damage with the bat, with extra-base hits, and he's played nice outfield. He's a good athlete. He's a guy who plays both sides of the ball well. The job that he did when we brought him up, I think, was the reason why we did want him on this roster. It gives us more flexibility against left-handed pitching.
tried work
He tried to keep playing, but it didn't work out.
liked white
I always liked him when he was with the White Sox,
bothering information smart throwing
He was throwing well and we had no information that anything was bothering him. I don't think he was smart about it. I think he should have said something.
certainly difficult pitching
He's certainly pitching very well and making it difficult on what we're going to do.
accurately baseman coming great himself instincts pitch positions third throws
He has great instincts and feel for the game. He positions himself so well when the pitch is coming and has great reactions. And he throws as accurately as any third baseman I've seen.
