It's pinch-yourself stuff, isn't it? ... Statistically it's probably been the best era in the club's history and of course that makes me feel good. But corny as it sounds, I'm honestly more pleased for the players. That's why I do the job primarily and that's why getting to the grand final this year has been the best yet because we've been through some pretty dark times along the way.

You don't want your best players missing in an international tournament, but we've had to cope with that over the years and it's another one we've got to cope with this year.

We felt that we needed to strengthen the squad ahead. We are getting a player who can cover all the outside back positions and who has a wealth of Super League experience behind him.

The win was as much for the character of the team as the skills we've shown over the last three months.

We didn't help ourselves with that many penalties. If you give field position to this team, it's hard work. It's not the first time this has happened to us but we're not too despondent. It was one of those nights and we will learn from it.

We could probably have seven or eight players that aren't in there for various reasons but we go with what we've got and what we've got is pretty good.

That would be a dream ticket. Bradford are a champion team. Hopefully we can create something similar here.

Marcus came and did as well as anybody possible could. I am really pleased for him because he has had no game time. He has not played for three weeks and he is nowhere near fit enough.

I won't know until Thursday, but I'm pretty confident Stanley will be fit.
