It's pinch-yourself stuff, isn't it? ... Statistically it's probably been the best era in the club's history and of course that makes me feel good. But corny as it sounds, I'm honestly more pleased for the players. It's difficult to say how they're going to fare on the field, but we have a lot of very good football players here. Until you see the product on the field, you don't know how they're going to react in a game situation, or how they're going to get along with each other.

It is unusual, ... If you're picking on form, they didn't finish in the top six and they have had a lot of injuries. (Gareth) Hock and (Sean) O'Loughlin would have been considered. It may look incredible but I think it's a compliment to the standard of the competition.
