goal happened score wrapped
They score their first goal when we're still wrapped up with what happened with Mac.
good shots
They're a good team, getting that many shots on us.
definitely direction room ship turn
There's definitely some room (to improve). We wanted to turn the ship around and get it in the right direction, but that's a long process.
benefit looking point start teach understand view
You start to understand why you do things. You're not looking at things just from a point of view where, 'I have to do this.' It's, 'OK, this actually works.' If you teach it the right way, it'll benefit you in the end.
confidence far game looking night rest team win
The way we're feeling, the confidence that we have in each other, we know we can win every night and every game. The rest of the season, it's win each game. We're not looking to look too far ahead. Now it's just one game at a time, one team at a time.
left
I think we have a lot left to give.
blocking guys happening ice key shots
Our guys were blocking a lot of shots and that was happening all over the ice and that was the key to our success.
both glad national perspective playing putting ring trade trophy
Just putting everything in perspective, I think both of us are just glad we're playing in the national championship game. I think we'd trade that trophy for a ring any day.
against michigan net players score state watched
I watched them against Michigan State and they get players to the net and were able to score off some tip-ins.
dominated graduated hockey national
He just dominated in his position, and you could see that as he graduated to the National Hockey League.
approach best compromise convince hopefully might quite strategy talk taught
But he taught that back in the day. We talk about things. If things aren't working out quite the way we want it to, then we talk. It might take some yelling, but you convince each other that this way is best or you compromise and hopefully come up with the best strategy as to how you're going to approach that save.
allowed careful good hit ruts sign
That's always a good sign when you're allowed out on the ice. I've just got to be careful to not hit any ruts (in the ice) and not do anything fancy. Just working that way, slowly, should get me back faster.
confidence draw home remember road win
I remember my first road win was pretty big and I got a lot of confidence from that. I think you draw a lot of what you do at home from when you're on the road.
blood gets guys heart means realize release saying script seeing taking trophy true won
I don't think the true release has actually come. We won a game, but we don't even realize what we just did. This means so much to everybody; you just can't put it into words. Just saying it right now gets into your blood and your heart pumping. Seeing that trophy with those guys out there taking pictures, you couldn't write a better script for an ending.
