maine solid strong talented team
Maine is a team that has some talented and strong kids. They play a real solid game.
against change fantastic finish great job line
I was going to make a line change and then I see No. 9 streaking on a breakaway out of the box. But she had to finish it and she did a great job against a fantastic goalie.
advantage defense few good
We didn't take advantage of a few of our good chances. Give their goalie and defense credit.
defensive game good hoping
We need to have a good defensive effort. I am hoping that we can keep it a real competitive game and play well defensively.
carry collect played seem tempo
We did not play very well tonight. We were a little tentative and Quinnipiac played with a lot of tempo and a lot of pace. We didn't really carry play tonight. A lot is gauged by how well we collect passes, and we didn't seem to collect pucks tonight.
character game heart maine players
The players had the character, heart and resiliency to show that the game up in Maine was a fluke.
aspects effort expect few games good last mental return team top
I expect a real good effort and a competitive effort. I expect a team that is more accountable when it comes to the mental aspects of the game. We weren't very accountable these last few games and we need to return to the top of our game.
crowd everybody fans help knowing noise people playing rink
We can get 300-400 people here in Walter Brown. Knowing the bounces, playing in our own rink and the crowd noise from the fans help everybody play better.
knowing longer momentum positive pressure puts start stay teams underdog win
We've got to start getting some positive momentum. A win is very important for us and the positive momentum will snowball. And the longer we stay in games, the more pressure it puts on other teams knowing that the underdog is still competing.
certainly game odds schedule second
Certainly in the second game we were more prepared. I like our odds better here at Walter Brown, but that's the way the schedule falls.
goals good kids players puck shoot system whatever
But whatever your system is, you still have to have good players and we had some kids who would shoot the puck and would get goals around the net.
against exception game involved year
This was a game where we were never in it. We have been involved in every game all year with exception to the first game against UNH and this one.
brought control game hung point
I didn't think at any part of the game we really brought our A game. We kind of hung in there and showed some heart, but at no point did we really control the game.
against battle decided games improve lost special
Games are decided on special teams. Ultimately, we lost this battle against BC, and we want to improve that against Maine.
