Brandon Dawayne Roy is an American retired professional basketball player who played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association. He was a star before a lot of those guys were stars. We saw a tape of his eighth-grade team with Tyson Chandler and Josh Childress, and he was the best guy on the team.
He's back to being scrappy-tough, and that's the makeup of our team. When we stop doing that, we're not very good. He understands that. We need him 100 percent going hard, and he knows that.
