We go down to Baton Rouge every year and are excited about going again. If we advance to a regional, this is generally the place that we play. It will be good to put our kids in that type atmosphere. Right now, we are concerned about our performance and improvement.

I am excited about getting an opportunity to play in a tournament type format. Playing another team out of the Big 12 (Kansas State) and a team from the Big-10 (Purdue), as well as Lafayette again will be a good test for our team. Missouri is a very well coached team and deserving of their ranking. They have an experienced team, returning many of their top lettermen from last season. In 2005, they were one catch away from a Super Regional, so this weekend will be a great test for our guys.

I'm all for trying to create more student and community interest. The team and staff were up on the main campus today promoting it. It would be great if we could get 1,000 or more people there.

We are not a very good ball team right now. I am concerned about some things that happened during the game that need to be corrected. Like I told the team, you are never as bad as you are and are never as good as you think you are. This was certainly a wake-up call.

That's what I am really proud about. We really overcame some adversity. I thought we came up here and did what we wanted to do. I thought we had good balance. We had five guys in double figures, and we shared the ball.

It is every artist's fantasy to run things. I know personally, I'd be happiest as dictator of a small island. The problem is that romantic artists are usually too disorganized to run their own lives, let alone societies. And most societies are too sensible to let them try it.
conclusion depth offensive oriented pitching staff team work
I think this team is going to be more offensive oriented then we have been. Another of the things that I like is our depth at each position, but right now, we have to work on getting our pitching staff in place and come to the conclusion of who that will include.
