again competing excited forward good looking opportunity playing responds seeing team test tournament type
I am excited about getting an opportunity to play in a tournament type format. Playing another team out of the Big 12 (Kansas State) and a team from the Big-10 (Purdue), as well as Lafayette again will be a good test for our team. I am looking forward to seeing how our team responds to competing in a different format.
again close front
We had to get out in front again and close out a team. Now we will have more confidence.
against ball bounce came close far finish game kids played team whale
Our kids played a whale of a game against the No. 6 team in the nation, and I told them that. But to close out a team like that you've got to finish every play, and we didn't finish on that rebound. It came too far out and to their advantage. It's the bounce of the ball sometimes.
against ball coached field good match nice series weekend
It is nice to get back on the field after having our weekend series postponed. ULL will be a very well coached ball team, so it will be good to see how we match up against them.
certainly conference fantastic last night playing saint senior spoiled team year
Saint Mary's spoiled Senior Night last year when they had a fantastic team. This year, they're a team that is certainly playing better than they were the first part of the conference season.
promise
Ross got fouled, I promise you that. Oh, he got fouled, and it wasn't called.
brain bruce commitment cooper corey defender fell finding grew love michael niche pick player stage watching
Corey is a better defender at this stage than Bruce was, but it's all about finding your niche in the NBA. The Spurs fell in love with Bruce because of his commitment to defense. Bruce grew up watching Michael Cooper play for the Lakers, and he used to pick my brain about what kind of player Cooper was.
certainly fans lost motivation players polls shocked
Considering what we lost on the mound, I am not shocked with where we are picked. The preseason polls are more for the fans than anything, but our players can certainly use them as motivation during the season.
adversity double five good guys overcame proud shared
That's what I am really proud about. We really overcame some adversity. I thought we came up here and did what we wanted to do. I thought we had good balance. We had five guys in double figures, and we shared the ball.
ball good
We just couldn't put the ball through the net. We had good looks.
finishing fourth lead plus third win
Win and we have a two-game lead plus the (head-to-head) tiebreaker. Obviously, finishing third or fourth and getting the bye is important.
great held played unheard
We played great defense. We held Gonzaga to 64 points. That's unheard of.
came indicate kept pitching played score staff though
We played better today, even though the score does not indicate it. Jared (Jennings) really came in and kept us in the game. Right now, we have to find a way to get our pitching staff some confidence.
alone artists dictator fantasy happiest problem romantic run sensible small societies
It is every artist's fantasy to run things. I know personally, I'd be happiest as dictator of a small island. The problem is that romantic artists are usually too disorganized to run their own lives, let alone societies. And most societies are too sensible to let them try it.
