bit came changed effect halftime
We changed a little bit at halftime and came from the perimeter and that probably had as big an effect as anything we did in the game.
change forcing halftime second
At halftime I kind of let them have it for the whole halftime. We didn't really change anything ... the second half was about forcing their will on the game.
asked changed coaches might nice touch touched
At first, they said I touched him, and then they said I changed the shot. I didn't touch him. I might have been on the floor, but coaches do that. I asked if they were going to give them the ball, too, but they said we could keep it. That was nice of them.
changed easier job players proud stuff
I really got after the players ... and they responded really, really well. I changed a lot of stuff right away and they made my job easier because they cooperated so much. From that standpoint, I was proud of them.
change developing direction floor playing putting robert sets team throwing total younger
I think if we don't make any trades, or we don't change the team at all, you have to look at playing Johan (Petro) and Robert (Swift) and throwing them the ball, putting sets in for them, developing them even further, getting Damien (Wilkins) on the floor even more. I think that is the direction we would go, total development of the younger guys.
build changed continue kids
The two young kids (Swift and Petro) were great. If they continue to build on what they're doing, we're going to be a changed team.
wants
In Luke's case, he's scared. He's a baby. He wants to be something.
accused agents bitter convinced fathers lottery nba prouder
I'm like one of his fathers who couldn't be prouder of him. It's a long story, but at the bitter end his agents accused me of badmouthing him to the NBA people; because they had convinced him he was a lottery pick.
academics division good iii money putting
It's not a Division I school. It's a good school, but they should really think about going to Division III and putting academics first if they're not going to put any money in sports.
bring everybody game good guy iowa nba terrific
Everybody said he would be the guy to bring up. When he was at Iowa State, I thought that guy was going to be a terrific NBA player. He had good size, and he kind of had an NBA game when he was in college.
biggest career challenge embrace few game offense pace search teams tonight utah
The biggest challenge tonight was to embrace the pace of the game and they did it again. I thought that's one of the few times in my career that any of my teams have been able to take Utah out of their offense and make them search for shots.
courage
It was huge. He's got a lot of courage.
quarter took
It was great. It was like a place revisited in my life. And I think the first quarter, it took me a quarter to kind of feel as comfortable as I should. Then once I got that first quarter over with, it was great.
beat built deep diminish great guys together tonight top win
Not to diminish their win, but we had some guys go down tonight on top of the other guys that we have that are beat up right now. The Spurs are a great team. They are long, they play together and they are a deep team. They are built to win a championship.
