bit came changed effect halftime
We changed a little bit at halftime and came from the perimeter and that probably had as big an effect as anything we did in the game.
easy point
We scored too easy and at some point that was going to subside.
gratifying tour
(Berlin) was the most gratifying tour of the whole thing.
attitude care great met wants
As I told him when I met him, I thought he should have started in Memphis. The great thing about him is he really doesn't care if he starts, he just wants minutes. He's got a great attitude for this team.
defined good hold ourselves plays stops team
Finally, we planted our feet, defined ourselves and got the stops we needed. It's always good when you can hold off a team when you've got to make plays and you've got to make stops. I think that was significant.
amount asked games guys season three trades
We've really had three seasons. We had the first 30 games with Bobby. Then they asked me to do this and we had X amount of games with the guys who really didn't want to be here and guys who did. Then we had the season after the trades were made.
good needed team win
We sorely needed to win a game. That was a team win. We got a lot of good performances from a lot of people.
court defensive finished front good great kept needed team win
We sorely needed to win a game. That was a team win. I thought we really got a lot of good performances from a lot of people. We got stops, we're not a great defensive team but the team we had on the court at the end did what they needed to get the stops. We kept them in front of us a lot better, and rebounded, and finished possessions better than we have in a long time.
beat caliber craft extra games gotten guys takes uncommon
We should have gotten beat by 50 points. That's two games for Ray, so it's not uncommon that guys of that caliber go the extra mile. ... He takes his craft seriously.
hates planned
We had planned to go without him, then Luke's out there shooting. I said, 'What are you doing?' He said, 'I told you I was playing.' He just hates sitting.
beat bench game loose playoff point pulling stay win
We went to the bench from that point on, and it was just like pulling teeth. We got out-hustled, I thought. They beat us to loose balls. They had to win the game to stay in the playoff race, and they did what they had to do. So you have to give them credit.
certain floor game good guys help job jump push pushing ray ready
We went into the game with the idea that Ray would try to push him to a certain part of the floor and there would be help there. I thought Ray did a good job of pushing him there and then our big guys were ready to at least make him take a jump shot.
again defined miami orlando quarter run stops third time tough won year
We've had such a tough time this year in the third quarter, but we won the third quarter in Orlando and Miami and we won it again tonight. They did what they were going to do and made a run back at us. Finally, we planted our feet, defined ourselves, and got the stops we needed.
chances felt focus focused game goal good hopeful improvement legitimate night point team took
There is a lot to be hopeful for and the focus is here. I wanted to keep the team focused on improvement and that was my goal when I took the job. I think it got to a point where I felt good every night about our chances to win. And that's what you want, to go into each game with a legitimate chance to win.
