brings field great qualities says
It says a lot about Claudio that he's here, he's on the field and he's getting to know people. He brings great qualities in that regard. We need that for sure.
deep four looks midfield outside pulled pushed terms three time understanding wide
They take a different look all the time. There's times when there are four in the back but an outside back has pushed into the midfield so now there's only three. There's time when there's three in the back and one of the wide midfielders is pulled deep and it looks like four. It's not the most important thing in terms of our organization and our understanding of the field.
sea sight wonderful
A sea of humanity. What a wonderful sight to see at the start.
finish goal match paid played pushed second took
After we took the lead, we had stretches where we played very well. We pushed to get a second goal to try to finish the match and we didn't and we paid the price.
believing felt field investing putting talent
I've always felt that you try in MLS to find a balance. You need young talent. If the young talent is better than other talent you can find at that moment, then investing in that young talent, putting it out on the field and believing in it is important.
ball free indicate kick seemed
It was very close. The replays of the free kick seemed to indicate the ball was over the line.
early level played pleased raise seems
Youri was not pleased with the way he played early on. He seems to raise his level of play when most needed.
changed continuing good group guys moving themselves throughout type ways works
We've changed throughout preseason. I feel like we're continuing to look at different combinations and see what works and we need that type of flexibility as we through the season. We still have a ways to go. For me, it's still good to see guys moving themselves forward. There's a group that's doing pretty well.
areas balanced bunch fun game good highlights players playing pressure puts seem team work
I think you have to make it a two-way game that puts them under pressure and highlights some of the areas where they are not as strong. Give them credit. They've had a good season. They're a balanced team and work hard. They've got a bunch of players that have been together, know each other and seem to have fun playing together.
adjust allow athletic athletics consensus earned general likely obviously people qualities somebody special talk
I think (Wynne as first pick) is the general consensus -- most people would say he's the likely No. 1, and he's earned that. He's obviously a special kind of athlete. And when you talk about somebody who can adjust and play right away, his athletic qualities allow him to do that.
game played responsibility true
From our standpoint, this is the most important game we've played yet and the responsibility is on us to really make this into a true rivalry.
attitude building great guys hard help knew number player plus process team terrific works
When he was let go, I knew in our building process that having a player like Timmy can only help us in all ways. Timmy is a great professional and he's a plus to every team he's on. He works hard every day. He has a terrific attitude and mentality. He can play a number of positions. He's one of the fittest guys on the team.
coming eventually everybody game games good half hard job learn level looked picked pushing response second sure turn work wrong
We looked hard at some of the things that we did wrong at the end of the game yet we made sure everybody understands that it is that kind of hard work that will eventually turn those games into wins. There were a lot of good signs. I really thought the response coming out of the second half was excellent. We picked up the level of play. We did a good job of pushing to get the second goal. We'll learn from those mistakes.
believe bit building fighting figure good points position realistic sights starting team
I believe that the starting points for building a good team are in place. Now we've got to keep going. It's a process. Then as we go, you know what, we can start to figure out what's realistic and where we are. Where are we in the standings? Are we still in position to set our sights on other things? Are we fighting to make the playoffs? You go a little bit at a time.
