good safe
This is a good arrangement for us here. This is our little safe haven, not as many distractions, and we had a good practice.
focused great group matter resilient stayed
This is a great group of guys, how we got here, we're a different team. We're a focused team, no matter what's happened, we've stayed together. We've got a resilient group.
focus game guys looked maybe relish underdogs
The focus maybe has been greater, maybe the sense of urgency. At home, you think you're going to have it because of the crowd. We kind of looked at that as a challenge. We've been pretty much underdogs in every game that we've been in, and these guys relish that position.
aware believed certainly deal effect focus hope prepare san talk whatsoever worst
The focus is on winning. There will be no talk whatsoever about any other scenario. We're well aware of what the deal is with San Diego. But that certainly will have no effect with us, because I've always believed you prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
front jumping people player problem project sit somebody wanting
You can sit there and project. But the problem thing you can't project is people jumping up when they see a player they want and they jump right in front of you. That's why sometimes you do trade, because of wanting to get a player before somebody else can.
ability athletic certainly kids lose maturing sight talk
You can only talk to so many guys. Athletic ability is certainly a part of it, but it's not everything. These kids are still maturing as people. You can never lose sight of that.
throw
You can take away the run, if you want to, but then if you do that, Peyton will throw for 300 or 400 yards.
charlie element felt fourth good job settled
I felt Tommy had settled down (after the first two interceptions), ... ... He did a good job with the no-huddle element as we went into the fourth quarter. I did not think about (third-stringer) Charlie (Batch) or Ben.
driven forward looking sincerely white
I can't wait. I've driven in Washington, D.C. I've never been to the White House, personally. I sincerely am looking forward to it.
chance good outside ready walking
The good thing is, Jerome's walking around; he's up on his toes, ... I say there's an outside chance (he'll be ready for the opener).
good outside parker unable walking willie
The good thing is Jerome is walking around on his toes, ... There's an outside chance. But if Jerome is unable to go, Willie Parker will start.
break converted couple defense eventually game giving last number snaps watch
You watch that game last week, there were a number of third-and-9s, third-and-10s that they converted in the first couple of drives, ... It can get demoralizing for a defense. And you keep giving them snaps with the playmakers they have, and a defense will eventually break down and they will make a big play.
chance deal finish great hard name opportunity selling travel work
You work hard to travel this path, but if you're not able to finish the deal you'll be forgotten. You have a chance to put your name up there with some of the great teams. That's the opportunity that you're selling to your players.
hard lose prepare reflected talking time work
You work hard to get here. Now is not the time to lose it. We will keep talking about it and I think the way we prepare has always been reflected in how we play. I want them to be loose, I want them to be confident, but our preparation is going to have to be very good.
