ability certainly excellent football hands obviously quality receiver throw unique
He's a quality receiver and he can do a lot of things for you - certainly with what he can do for you after the catch. He's got excellent hands and obviously his ability to throw the football is something that is very unique to that position.
emotional football leader respectful
He's an emotional leader for our football team. He's very respectful ...
anymore effort good great heck hopefully individual super trying
He's a heck of an athlete. He really is a very good athlete. He was just trying to make a play, and he made a play. It was a great individual effort on his part. It was a great tackle. It was a super play on his part. Hopefully he won't have to do anymore of that.
great guy loves studies
He's a guy who loves to play the game, studies a lot, ... He's got a great feel for the game. He's a guy you can do a lot of things with.
encouraged integral
He's an integral part of what we do. So, I'm every encouraged by his situation.
affects asked believe circumstance close deal good players quality step teams truly win
Good teams win close games. Good teams have quality depth, and when players are asked to step in, there's not a drop-off, ... It's not the circumstance that affects you. It's how you deal with it. I truly believe that.
knows success
I don't think he knows what not having success is.
ben bothered concerns people
I don't think Ben was bothered by all the things that were said and the concerns a lot of people had, myself included. He'd just say, 'Relax, coach, we'll be OK.
I don't want to set him back, but he is getting better.
age game great mature
He's much more mature than his age would indicate. He's very much in control. He's a great competitor. He's got a great feel for the game and a lot of self-confidence.
earned
I don't look at him as a young quarterback, to be honest. He's been doing this for two seasons. To me, he has earned that trust.
chance consensus extended increase injury longer period played risk
The consensus was this was something that if we let it go he probably could have played this week, but the longer we went the risk of injury would increase and there is a chance he would be out for an extended period of time.
career few giving good looks next shape smart training
I'm giving Jerome the day off; he'll come back next week, ... He's been doing great. I try to do it periodically. I think where he is in his career I have to be pretty smart about it. He looks like he's in pretty good shape right now. He's in pretty good form. He's been through a few training camps, I think he'll be fine.
discovered great instead saying screwed submarine time west
I kind of thought it up. I think it's a great analogy. I got screwed up in some of the details. I know that he discovered the West Indies, it wasn't America. I said periscope one time instead of saying telescope; they thought it was a submarine the other day.
