There was no doubt about it out there today, San Diego is the better team. We didn't make any of the plays we needed to in the second half. They made an awful lot, especially in the second half.
There were different guys on that team. It was a different team.
There were certainly some very questionable decisions in that game. I'm surprised that was a playoff crew.
There were still a lot of mistakes and a long way to go, ... but certainly it was something to coach off of.
There is one of two ways that you can approach that,
They played well, ... They played a good football game. They played better then we did. They deserved to win. They outplayed us. They outcoached us. They outperformed us.
Anything any other player would do, that's what he's going to do
Any time a player goes from one system to another, one thing that could be a problem is breaking old habits. It's not that you don't understand what the new responsibilities or plays are, but just the fact that you've been doing something a long time - it's a habit - and that's not what's required in the other system. And that means kind of undoing something before you can even start to do something new.
Any players that haven't been in the playoffs need to do everything they've done before and more to try to prepare. You can't simulate a playoff game in practice. You can't simulate it anywhere.
As a football team, they completely outplayed us tonight. They made the plays and we certainly didn't make them.
Arrowhead is a tough place to play, ... Being able to deal with the hostile crowd, the noise and the conditions out there is always challenging.
This is one of those great games that went back and forth. It turned into a track meet at the end. I'm proud of the guys for hanging in there.
This is the best place for him because we know him the best. We know what his workout levels are. How to challenge him and how to monitor him and how to treat any problems that he would have doing it just like any other player. Basically, whatever he's doing, he's doing here.
Adam, which was your best kick -- the one in the Snow Bowl or the one against Tennessee?
