dug game great overcame reached remember resilient
What a resilient group. They just reached down, dug it out and overcame a lot of odds. What a great game historically to remember how it was done.
ball contend difficult fun great league move saw
He's very, very difficult to handle. They got him the ball in the right situations. It was a fun game. You saw some great athletes, young athletes, that the league is going to have to contend with as we move forward.

We're trying to cover all the scenarios, all the possibilities, ... The one thing we've had is time. That's been the great thing. We've got scouting reports on everybody.

When you play here in the Garden, it always has that special quality to it. The ghosts are still here. We try to remind the young guys that this is a great stage to perform on.
against athlete bernard contrast great personal plays question whether
The only question I have is whether I'd like more of a contrast ... That's nothing personal against Bernard. Bernard is a great athlete who plays defense. But we need a contrast, too.
caught ethic extremely fortunate great hard injury minor percent regular sean season work
We are fortunate that this was a minor injury and caught early. Sean has a great work ethic and we know he will work extremely hard to be back to 100 percent when the regular season begins.

He's 7 feet. He can shoot. He has a great work ethic, ... If he falls on his face, I can live with that.

This is a great opportunity for him to play for a team that is vying for a championship. We didn't want to stand in his way, and we appreciate the professionalism and commitment he gave to our franchise last season.

It's not going to do anything to them statistically for either one of them. They are who they are at this point. They have nothing to prove.
basketball detroit good guys lay lose proud
It's not an embarrassment to lose to Detroit that way. They are a very good basketball team. But I told my guys that I would go in a foxhole with them any day. They never lay down, and I'm very proud of them.

The beginning of the third, we didn't get anything done. After six games and two weeks, we didn't have the energy to get the job done.
beginning quarter third
The beginning of the third quarter was atrocious.
