bernard convincing extra ready saying
It'll come down to what he does on the floor, convincing us he has the will to really want it, ... I'm not saying he doesn't (have that will), but I'm really watching. I want to know if Bernard is ready to go the extra mile.
move
It's disappointing. But we've got to find a way to move on.
message nice start
The message is, we had a nice run, now let's start it again.
effort good team
It was just a really good team effort and a very significant game.
contested guys shots tough
They contested our shots, that's what they do. Some of their shots we contested and they made them. Those guys made some tough shots.
behind coming somewhere weapons
They (Detroit) just have so many weapons that somewhere somebody's going to make a play. They just keep you coming from behind all game.
ball beat kicked men
They beat us where the men play: down on the boards. They kicked our butts where the men play. They wanted the ball more than we did.
bottom
What's the bottom line? We made shots. That's what it's all about.
opportunity
The opportunity was there. Offensively we were lethargic.
ball guys three
Those three guys are pretty good. When you've got three guys who can score, you can put the ball in their hands.
finished guys hard
We finished this one. We made it hard though. I told the guys that they are kind of hard on their coaches.
force great
We didn't have to force anything. We had great shots. And we've got to make shots. It's that simple.
commitment competition consistent earned effort guys maintain next starting status throughout
Brevin has earned the starting spot. But guys have to maintain that status with commitment to effort and with consistent effort. We think we'll have that kind of competition throughout the lineup next season.
anyone basketball difference ends free game gets indictment line opportunity ourselves shot
Everything in this basketball game was pretty much even, but they shot 33-of-39 (from the line). Everything else was pretty much even. It gets down to the free-throw line and making the free throws. The opportunity was there. That's no indictment on anyone but ourselves for not making free throws. It ends up really being the difference in your basketball game.
