fall last looked ready
He looked like he was about ready to fall asleep. That's how I was last year.
couple enjoy fun super talked
We talked a couple of times this week. He called me and said, 'Listen, enjoy it and have fun there because you never know if it is going to come back.' He said that he thought he was going to make it back (to the Super Bowl) and he never got to play in it again.
balls criticism knocking mph people plays wind winds
People need to realize, and I know they won't, that there was 45 mph winds out there, and it was tough, ... A lot of those plays were not (Tommy's) fault. The wind was knocking the balls down. There was no way he should have got the criticism he did.
danny guys people second super year
Some guys never get to a Super Bowl, and then there are people like Danny Marino who get there in their second year and don't get back.
focused mean trying win
That doesn't mean anything to me. I'm just focused on trying to win the game.
best feet good great matt offense phenomenal seems sure
Matt is a phenomenal quarterback. He's a great leader. He's very good with his feet and he has a great arm. He always seems to know what he's doing, making sure his offense has the best play possible.
defense helps kept ours plays recipe throw
It helps when your defense plays as well as ours did. Throw two picks, that's a recipe for disaster. But the defense kept making plays.
helps outside pocket running strong time
It helps some to be able to run. But traditionally, you don't get much (running) outside the pocket in the playoffs. It's a time when you try to play to your strengths. For most quarterbacks, running isn't a strong point, is it?
night seeing understanding
It has been like night and day. I'm seeing things a lot better and really understanding the team.
best plan
I plan on and want to be the best quarterback to ever play the game.
cold learned rookie
Because it's cold in Pittsburgh. I learned from my rookie year.
game
But I'm not nervous. I haven't been for any game yet.
balanced couple last offense proven stops throw win won
At the end of the season, everyone said if we had to throw and someone stops the run, we won't be able to win because we can't throw the ball. The last couple of games, we've won by throwing. When you put it on our shoulders, we've proven we're a balanced offense and we can throw.
earn
I'll take one as long as we win. ... That's how you earn your money, by winning.
