earn
As long as we win. That's how you earn your money, by winning.
board joey listen plays
That's Joey being Joey. It's fun. I want to listen too. He can give them all the 'bulletin board material' he wants. It's going to come down to who makes the plays on Sunday.
both boxing coming dance fighters fought match teams
That's kind of the interesting thing. This is going to be a boxing match between two fighters who've never fought each other. Will they dance around a while to feel each other out? Or will it be a slugfest with both teams coming out swinging?
couple hard improve plays
There wasn't much to it. A couple of plays and it was pretty much over with. There are a lot of things we need to improve on, but it's hard to tell when you're only out there so long.
third
This is the third one. We've got one more to get. One more.
football nervous
This is probably the most nervous I've been before any professional football game.
best cameras people pointed smart talking
This is the best part of it, talking to you guys. Being the quarterback, you know that cameras are pointed at you and people want to talk to you. You have to be smart ? and know it comes with the territory.
coach early protect purpose smart team
Coach said if you go out there too early and get hurt, it negates the whole purpose of having the surgery. We're going to be smart about it. I'm not going to go out there if I can't protect myself, and put the team in jeopardy.
awesome coach good grow help talk whip
Coach Whip has been awesome with me. He's not a big yeller, a ranting and raving guy, which is good for me. I like to just be able to talk to my coach, and he's been able to help me grow as a quarterback.
bus last year
After last year I told Bus I'm going to get him back to Detroit.
accepted field guys lead rather talk trying yelling
I think the guys have kind of accepted that with me and I think I try to go on the field and play that way. I'm not a guy who's going to be yelling or ranting and raving and trying to talk to be a leader. I'd rather lead by example. It's made me feel more comfortable out there on the field.
falling fast fourth guess
I thought about falling down at the 1 so he could get a fourth one. I guess I didn't think fast enough.
definitely last motivation played teammates
I was disappointed with how I played last year. That's definitely motivation for me this time. I don't want to let my teammates down.
front good job line mixed offensive phenomenal silent
I think we did a good job; give our offensive line a lot of credit. We did all silent count. We went on two, on three, mixed it up. They did a phenomenal job up front of being disciplined.
