I really don't know what to say. One week you're second, the next week you're not on. She didn't even play last week (because there wasn't a scheduled tournament). She didn't even play and she lost her spot. That's tough.
I just try to mind my own game, hit one shot at a time and kind of stay in the present. I felt she played pretty good today. it was quite some good golf I thought in the group, very consistent throughout.
I just hope I make my tee time. It seems like there's a lot to do. I have to take out the trash and get the phone and all that, and all of a sudden I have to rush to the course, which is what happened this morning.
I just don't think I can handle that.
I prepared for 3 1/2 months for that, which was a lot of weight training, a lot of fine-tuning on my swing, a lot of hard word on my short game. I wouldn't say it paid off that particular week, but it paid off down the road, for sure. I think being in the limelight, with the pressure I felt on the first tee, it was just enormous.
I prefer walking, but then again this course is very tough to walk. I think using carts was the right thing to do. I think it will speed up play. At the beginning it was tough to get your rhythm. Normally, you have the bag there and you grab a club. Now, you have to find a new system with your caddie. ... For the first six or seven holes, I couldn't really find a rhythm, but then in the end it was fine.
I prefer walking, but then again, this course is very tough to walk.
I played four solid rounds of golf and I want to try to finish the season as hot as the way I started it (three wins in a row).
I play this game for myself, and I motivate myself and I have my own goals, and I think I know my limits. I know what I want to achieve. There are a lot of young players coming up, and they are very good. But I also love being in the spot that I'm in, so that keeps me motivated.
I really didn't know what to expect, ... It's tricky on certain holes and the greens have a lot of different pin possibilities. There was wind yesterday, and today there was no wind. I'm sure we can get a lot of different conditions - it was a little cold this morning and warm in the afternoon. I'm looking forward to it.
I really did not play very well today unfortunately, ... I hit a few bad shots and it was a tough day at the office really.
If you think about it, the golf ball doesn't know which country you're in.
Hopefully, by the weekend, it will dry and it will play a little different.
Honestly, I don't feel like I'm here to prove anything. I'm here to play golf. I know where I'm at on the money list. You know where I'm at. I'm here to reach my own goals, play my own game. I don't look at it that way. I see it as an opportunity for me.
