First thing is, he is a great kid. He worked so hard in the offseason to get that thing back and he came (into camp) in phenomenal shape. We were looking forward to getting him back in there and for that to happen, your heart just goes out to the guy.
Brian is a big part of this offense and a big part of this team as a representative on and off the football field. I'm really happy for Brian. It's a great thing for him and the team to have him signed to a long-term contract. I really believe both the player and the team benefit from each other.

I have great respect for Dick Vermeil. He has watched over me and took care of me since I took the job here. They are coming off a tough loss to Denver and he will certainly have that team prepared.
You hate to see anything like this happen. Nobody likes to see that. Tony's a great person with a great family.
T.O. came up big. That was a great play he made at the end for that touchdown. He's a great player who stepped up when we needed him.
It's sad to see, because Correll came in in great shape. It was kind of a crazy one where no one really hit him. He just made a plant and the thing went out. But we've always kept our heads up. We understand that's going to happen in sport. So the next guy's got to step in and do a good job.
It's even tougher when you release veterans such as Hugh and Jon. They have contributed a great deal to the success of this team over the past few years and we appreciate their efforts on and off the field.
It's a great situation for our football team, especially to add somebody of this guy's caliber into the mix.
There are plenty of things to work on, but they gave a great effort.
We are counting on him being back. He worked his tail off this offseason to get himself in great shape. He is not going to fall out of shape that fast.
As we sit here today, I'm not feeling great about it, to be honest with you, ... Do I think it was the right thing to do? Yeah, when you're trying to win the football game, that's the right thing to do. Obviously, they covered it and did a good job with it.
That's hard on the players and it's hard on the coaches. Those are guys that are very well liked here and have done a great job for us.
