We wanted to win the game. I don't care about the 8-and-8. I wanted to take care of business and we did not do that.
We utilized him in training camp. We have to make sure that most of his concentration is on the tight end spot. But he is a guy we could use to get us through a game at fullback.
Therefore, there is nothing more that I can say at this point.
We'll see what's out there. We've evaluated a lot of players. We'll see how it all works out here.
We knew we were going to have to be patient and keep pounding it in there,
We used him a little bit more in protection last week. I could have done a better job play calling. I could have called his number a little bit more last week.
We understand the season is not over. There is a lot of season to play and we will attack that aggressively.
I think the important thing is finding a way to win the football game. I really think, when it is all said and done, that people really don't care whether you ran or threw the ball. They care about winning and losing. We are going to try to do what is working for us and do the best we can.
We are happy to be able to keep someone of Tom's caliber in Philadelphia.
We are going to work both quarterbacks in practice and see how they do, and I will make a decision by the end of the week.
We didn't do a very good job against (the blitz).
We are counting on him being back. He worked his tail off this offseason to get himself in great shape. He is not going to fall out of shape that fast.
Tom has done an excellent job with our player personnel department over the last four years and we're fortunate to be able to keep him for the next several seasons. He is one of the hardest-working people I have ever met and is one of the best talent evaluators in the NFL.
We are going through and talking about all that. It does concern me. I think that field position is a big thing. We can do better there, so we will look at that closely.
