Marco has really come up big for us in our first two games and we need for that to continue, ... He's a leader. He's not a vocal guy that will yell a lot. He's more of a leader by example.

We lost a tough match last night but I still think we played fairly well. I have to give these girls credit, we have played three matches in a row this week and all three we have had to battle to stay in. We are starting to get our offensive weapons tuned in a little better but still have a long way to go. Our defense and passing abilities have kept us in games so far this season.

We won 55 ball games in eight years, and that's a good record for anybody. My only regret - that 4-5 season sticks in my craw. I'm retiring as a coach, and I feel good about my retirement.

Attendance is growing, and we're looking to continue to add more. Some of our players have been hurt, and we haven't won as many games as possible, but we expect to continue to market the product aggressively. We hope that with local investors involved, we'll tap into that growing number.

Coming here eight years ago, I never would have guessed I would have played 500 games here. That's certainly something to be proud of. Being here and going through the growth pains and tough years, this means a little more.
