That was a steal. To get a Pro Bowl-caliber quarterback, really a franchise quarterback, it can't get no better than that for a second-round pick, now. Come on. I was excited. Hopefully, his health will be fine and we've got a lot of talent around him.
We had some big plays on third down that we missed. We've gotta get better and we will, I promise you that. This ain't the same old Dolphins. We're going to get better -- we had a rough day and we wish we had some of those plays back, but we're going to improve. I promise you that.
I promise that once we get clicking on defense we are going to be real good. We were off today and we weren't very good.
I'm just proud of the guys, because when we were 3-7, we could have shut it down. And guys kept fighting.
We're definitely going to be running our tails off because of today. We just got outplayed. They really dominated us.
We're changing so many things, it's causing confusion for other teams. In the past, it's always been so simple. Now we're making offenses think a little bit. They don't know where I'm going to be.
We practiced horribly this week. We had it coming. We had some of our worst practices of the year this week and we got outplayed today because of it.
I'm going to be a jerk, but I don't care. I didn't say anything all week. We let guys slide and got too comfortable. We've got to work harder and answer on game days.
I've got two days of film work to do in one,
No back in the league gives me as much trouble, ... I'm short, and I can get leverage on the backs, but not Henry. I can't get under him. And he runs so hard. I hate trying to tackle him.
They did a little fast-tempo offense and were moving guys in and out. You have to be able to get the calls right even when they do that. A couple times we missed communication and that starts with me. We all have to be on the same page.
That just shows how much depth they've got. They don't miss a beat when the starters are out of the game.
Don't even try to type him. It's a waste of time. He'll never repeat tendencies.
This was about the offense winning for us. I'm not sure, for all the time I've been here, I can say the offense had won a game when the defense didn't play well.
