ball excited forget hits home knows needs time
Any time Jose hits a home run, I try to forget it real quick. I let him know that he needs to forget about it real quick, so I don't get excited about home runs. He knows I don't like for him to hit the ball in the air. But he's got some pop.
bring game lost table
Even if he would have lost or had a so-so game yesterday, he's still going to bring something to the table every time,
work
Even if he comes back, he's going to have to work his way back in there. ... There's no rush. That's for sure.
case plans work
Nothing really official. But, we have plans in case it doesn't work out that way.
baseball bit gods mistake seem showing
The baseball gods are showing me a little bit of everything this year. We just seem to make a mistake at the most inappropriate time.
baseball bit boils gods learning positive showing unusual winning
The baseball gods are showing me a little bit of everything this year, and that was one of the more unusual (plays). I'm still positive about these guys. . . . But it just boils down to learning how to play winning baseball.
finish games win
It's important to finish up strong, win as many games as we can,
certain deal guys putting react
It's important for me to see how guys react in certain spots, ... Not just putting them there, but how they deal with the situation. Sometimes, you can tell a lot from things like that.
bullpen coming
The bullpen is coming along. It's been pretty solid.
ahead continues liked needs obviously pitch seen
Bannister still needs to make this club, so I'm not going to get ahead of myself with all that. I have liked what I've seen from (Bannister) all spring. If he continues to pitch well, obviously he has a chance.
pressure
That's what we want to do. We want to keep adding. Keep the pressure on.
change drop
That's why you don't panic. That's why you don't overreact. We know very well that things can change at the drop of a dime, so we'll just keep playing.
That's why you don't panic, ... That's why you don't overreact.
good
That's why we don't panic. That's why we still feel good about this team.
