both exciting experience impressed
It's exciting when you think of our future. The experience Reyes and Wright are getting now is invaluable. I am impressed with our young talent, both up here and who we have in the minors.
ball closer wrong
It's fine. He was my closer and he said he was fine. I told him to take the ball and he went out and pitched. There's nothing wrong with him.
playing
It's early. I'm just playing who I feel I should play.
against bats expect obviously seems swing watching
It seems like what we were watching was Cy Young work. And obviously we didn't swing the bats too well against him. You can't expect to win like that.
rushing starting
It's like starting all over. He's got to get back in shape. There's no use rushing him.
bat extended gets good legs monitor news onto playing spring starts swinging training
It's good news that he's getting back onto the field. But even when he starts playing extended spring training games, we still need to monitor how he looks. You want him, hopefully, swinging the bat well and have his legs under him so when he gets back, he can contribute.
everybody good
It's good to have everybody back together. We need to get into a flow.
easy good
It's easy to look good when Pedro pitches. But it was more than that. I like the way we're winning.
learned year
It's my first year and I've learned a lot,
fall teams
It's unusual, but why not? I don't think that you can look at any of these teams and say, 'Well, they're going to fall out.
gets seems time
It's unfortunate that every time he seems to get going he gets injured. It's frustrating because we can't keep him in the lineup.
bodies chance gives good guys push ready reason
They know their bodies better than anybody. When they are ready to play they'll tell me. . . . There's no reason to push them. We're going good and this gives some of the other guys a chance to play.
might
They might have the Cy Young. They might have the MVP over there, too.
guys might
They might be one-batter guys or two. Got to see what they look like.
