I don't think the Republicans can damage my character
Character doesn't matter.
My fellow Americans, we can only build our bridge to the 21st century if we build it together, and if we're willing to walk arm-in-arm across that bridge together.
Supporters of capital punishment bear a special responsibility to ensure the fairness of this irreversible punishment.
That everybody can do something, without regard to how old or young they are, rich or poor or middle class they are, how busy or not busy they are and what level skills they have. Everyone can do something. And everybody should do something. ... And if you do it, you'll be happier.
I like that about the Republicans; the evidence does not faze them, they are not bothered at all by the facts.
[Alternative energy] will make us less dependent on foreign oil. It would make us more secure in our future. It would mean that our foreign policy could be a reflection of our values and our other interests, and not just that.
When we give what we can, and give it with joy, we don't just renew the American tradition of giving, we also renew ourselves.
I believe that this country's policies should be heavily biased in favor of nondiscrimination.
That all depends on what "is" is.
You know what higher interest rates mean. To you it means a higher mortgage payment, a higher car payment, a higher credit card payment. To our economy it means businesspeople will not borrow as much money, invest as much money, create as many new jobs, create as much wealth, raise as many raises.
I will tell you this: I will not raise taxes on the middle-class to pay for these programs.
I take full responsability...for what we did. It was the right thing to do.
