I always have had the approach to try to be loose. Last year was probably as tight as we've been going into a tournament and I think a lot of it was we weren't playing well.

He influenced me in all areas. Game management and preparation ... we still do drills identical to what we did at Oklahoma State. He had a good attitude when he wasn't playing and he came in and made shots. But he does more than just make shots. He is concerned with being well-rounded and he is doing better defensively. He is stepping up and making shots because he is feeling good about how he is playing.

We're spoiled with the crowds we get here. We can't blame the crowd for us being dull, because we didn't give them much to get excited about. But I expected it. It was a sandwich game.

We were a team kind of just flapping in the wind and floundering around, not because they weren't trying but because we hadn't found ourselves yet. I knew we'd get better. But I didn't anticipate us coming together and having a surge like we've had here since we started conference play.

The other thing our offense wasn't very good last night at all. If the offense isn't very good, I think you are better off playing your best defensive team the majority of time. That also could factor into the equation why those guys didn't get in the second half.

We've actually played better away from home. Our four road games are the best games we've played all year. Our fourth-best home game hasn't been as good as our worst road game.
